Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

By posting a notice on The Board, you agree to these terms. They're short and plainly written.

What you can post

Notices must be genuinely local — connected to the neighbourhood board on which they appear. Acceptable content includes local events, community services, wanted ads, announcements, and community notices.

What you cannot post

  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or harassing.
  • Spam, bulk advertising, or notices with no genuine local connection.
  • Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Personal information about others without their consent.
  • Anything that promotes discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics.
  • Misinformation presented as fact.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant The Board a non-exclusive licence to display your notice on the platform for as long as it remains live. You can remove your notice at any time.

You are responsible for ensuring your notice is accurate and that you have the right to publish any images, logos, or other material it contains.

Contact details

Contact information you include on a notice is publicly visible. Only publish what you are comfortable sharing openly. We are not responsible for how that information is used by third parties who view the board.

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any notice that breaches these terms without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in future notices being refused. We do not actively monitor all content but will act on reports.

Availability

We aim to keep The Board available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue any board or feature at any time. We are not liable for any loss arising from unavailability of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
